  We recently got my Dad’s hand-me-down recumbent trike with an add-on Bionx battery assist. It was well used by my Dad – many happy miles on it – bit in need of a tune-up and check-up. We turned to Mountainview Cycle because they were listed as the Bionx dealer in our area and they were comfortable servicing the recumbent trike. Before servicing the trike looked like quite a jalopy with all the add-ons and cables running all over the place for battery, controls, gears, and brakes, not to mention damage from going in the ditch. Jarret pretty much stripped the trike down, cleaned, serviced and repaired parts, replaced cables as needed, fixed the brakes, and ran the diagnostics and downloaded all the upgrades for the battery. The cables are now all bundled and wrapped –now it looks like a slick sports machine!

  Jarret and his Mom (as this is a family run business) took the time to help and walk me through making the best decision for me, they were patient, extremely knowledgeable and also wonderful to chat with! I am so happy with my purchase, and will be a loyal customer for all my future bike needs.

  Terrible experience: pulled up to the parking lot with family visiting from abroad. They wanted to take some pictures of the scenery then visit the store. Rude guy on a tractor that worked there pulled up to my family and I stating that we were on private property and needed to leave. I'm not sure why he didn't want us coming into his store...maybe he doesn't like coloured people? Either way, I will certainly never go back there & would not recommend this store to anyone else.

  In search of a new bike, I visited several bike shops in the area, however it was Mountianview Cycle I chose to buy from. Although the other bike shops happened to be closer to where I live, they felt unwelcoming and uninterested in helping me out; especially being someone who is new to cycling. From the moment I walked into Mountianview, I felt welcomed and at ease!

  I bought a bike here a few weeks ago and it seemed like the staff wanted to sell me the most expensive bike within my budget. Instead of being helpful and teaching me about different models they only recommended one bike. Then when I came back to get everything sized they simply raised the bike seat and tried to keep on selling me extras. I won't be going back to this shop again and I hope others are cautious while shopping here. Be aware that the employees will go out of their way to try to sell you things instead of trying to be helpful.
